Concept of air dome

The air membrane building is a building structure system that uses special building membrane materials as the outer shell and is equipped with a set of intelligent electromechanical equipment to provide positive air pressure inside the air membrane building to support the main body of the building. A complete air membrane building system also includes a lighting system and an access control system.

1. The air membrane supports the entire building by the pressure difference between the inside and outside. Due to the flexibility of the material, the inherent effectiveness of the structure and the curved shape, there are no components that are bent, torsion and compressed;

2. No frame or beam support is required inside, and the span can reach 180 meters;

3. As the atmospheric pressure increases, the oxygen content in the environment increases, so the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the air membrane will not only have no adverse effects on the human body, but will help people engage in sports activities or physical work; usually the pressure difference between the inside and outside is 250Pa, about 0.0025 atmospheres (equivalent to the pressure difference between the 1st and 9th floors of a normal building).

4. The exterior adopts an oblique orthogonal mesh cable system to reduce the load on the membrane material, extend the service life of the building, and meet international permanent building standards and specifications.

The air membrane building system generally includes: foundation system, membrane system, cable system, access control system (airtight entrance), lighting system, insulation system, and control system.

Use of air dome

The air membrane building can be used for the following purposes:

1. Build entertainment or sports venues suitable for year-round use: golf practice fields, swimming pools, tennis and badminton halls, basketball halls, and volleyball halls.

2. Venues for expositions and exhibitions: exhibition centers and exhibition halls that require large spaces and periodic use.

3. Provide storage or production workshops suitable for industrial and commercial purposes: industrial plants and storage workshops that require ultra-high and large spaces.

4. Develop temporary agricultural production and research facilities: agricultural ecological research simulation space, botanical gardens, and large greenhouses in parks.

5. Temporary facilities that are easy to move and reorganize: large-scale construction site command and conference centers, and temporary gathering places for materials for people in disaster areas.
